中國科學院南京土壤研究所成立於1953年，其前身為1930年創立的中央地質調查所土壤研究室。該機構主辦Pedosphere、《土壤學報》、《土壤》3份中英文學術期刊，其中Pedosphere是中華人民共和國唯一一份土壤科學英文學術期刊。[1]
