杜魯門州立大學（Truman State University）成立於1867年，是一所美國密蘇里州的公立大學，位於密蘇里州東北部的柯克斯維爾。該大學前稱東北密蘇里州立大學[5]（Northeast Missouri State University），又譯密蘇里州立東北大學[6]，1996年改為現名，紀念唯一出生於密蘇里州的美國總統哈里·杜魯門。

杜魯門州立大學最初為密蘇里州東北的一個區域性公立師範學校，後逐漸發展成全州性人文與科學大學。2014年，該校有30個本科和6個研究生專業，共有6,156名註冊學生[3]。根據2021年美國新聞與世界報道的排名，杜魯門州立大學在美國中西部區域性大學中列第7名[7]，且連續24年為中西部區域性公立大學第一名[8]。 2014年新生入取率為74.5%。
學校歷史
杜魯門州立大學由師範教育先驅約瑟夫·鮑德溫（Joseph Baldwin）於1867年創立，最初名為「北密蘇里師範及商業學校」。1870年，該校成為密蘇里州第一所公立師範學校[9]，其學區覆蓋密蘇里州25個縣。
1972年，該校改名為「東北密蘇里州立大學」。1985年，州長約翰·阿什克羅夫特簽署法令確立該校為密蘇里州唯一全州範圍的人文與科學公立大學；這使得該大學從原來東北部區域性大學轉變為全州性大學[9]。
到1990年代，該大學不再是單一的師範學校，已擁有全國知名的會計專業以及科學、數學、計算機科學、文學等學院。1995年，州長梅爾·卡納罕（Mel Carnahan）簽署法令，該大學改名為杜魯門州立大學，以體現該大學的全州性，並向美國總統中唯一出生於密蘇里的哈里·杜魯門致敬[9]。
