价值回报的要求和预期。与之相反，以物易物或者市场经济是用社会契约和明确协议，来保证给与者得到或期望得到报酬的规范价值经济学（英语：Normative economics）模式。礼物经济融入政治、亲情、或宗教等领域，是共识主动性文化体系，没有明显的“经济”体系特性。
