Morse–Smale system

斯蒂芬·斯梅爾（英語：Stephen Smale，1930年7月15日—），美國數學家、加州大学伯克利分校荣休教授，1966年獲得菲爾茲獎，2007年獲得沃爾夫獎。他因證出五維或以上的龐加萊猜想而成名。然後轉向研究動力系統，作出重要成就，還勾劃出研究計劃，給很多研究者實行。斯梅爾也作過數學經濟的工作，近期也探究了不同的計算理論。
