艾倫·紐厄爾

艾倫·紐厄爾（英語：Allen Newell，1927年3月19日—1992年7月19日）是計算機科學和認知信息學領域的科學家，曾在蘭德公司，卡內基梅隆大學的計算機學院、泰珀商學院和心理學系任職和教研。他是信息處理語言（IPL）發明者之一，並寫了該語言最早的兩個AI程序，合作開發了邏輯理論家（Logic Theorist 1956年）和一般問題解決器General Problem Solver。1975年他和赫伯特·西蒙（司馬賀）一起因人工智能方面的基礎貢獻而被授予圖靈獎。
