生平
1976年12月入伍，1978年9月加入中國共產黨[1]。長期在廣州軍區服役，曾擔任第41集團軍軍務處長、軍炮兵指揮部主任、軍副參謀長等職，後任廣州軍區某師師長。2003年，被選調至國防大學任教。2007年，任第41集團軍副政委。2009年，任第41集團軍副軍長。2011年，掛職成都軍區任空軍副參謀長。2012年7月，接替到齡退役的張永大，任湖南省軍區司令員[2]。2015年2月，任中共湖南省委常委[3]。2016年11月，不再擔任中共湖南省委常委[4]。
2009年，晉升中國人民解放軍少將軍銜。
2013年，當選第十二屆全國人民代表大會解放軍代表[5]。
