顳橫回

顳橫回（英語：Transverse temporal gyrus）是大腦外側溝內初級聽覺皮層的腦回，是顳葉的一部分，位於布羅德曼系統第41、42分區^[1][2]。顳橫回又被稱為黑索氏回（Heschl's gyrus），以紀念奧地利解剖學家理查德·L·黑索（英語：Richard L. Heschl）^[2][3]。

顳橫回是顳葉的一部分，位於顳平面（英語：Planum temporale）（負責語言生成）之上，但與之相隔^[2][4]。顳橫回實際上是一組腦回，在左右大腦半球中數量不一^[4]。

與其它顳葉腦回不同的是，顳橫回是內外走向（朝向腦部中心），而其它腦回是前後走向（見右圖2）^[5]。

功能

顳橫回是最先處理聽覺信息的大腦皮層結構，屬於初級聽覺皮層^[1][2]。
