生平
洪武二十七年（1394年）甲戌科三甲第三十六名進士。洪武末年任福建漳州府知府一職，政績有聲[1]。後官湖廣布政司參政，麓川百夷酋思倫發與緬甸人構兵，其奉旨前往，使思倫發聽命返回。其並述當地山川人物風俗並寫成《百夷傳》上奏[2]。
