生平
1974年陝西省扶風縣強家村出土的師丞鍾，其銘文記載了虢季易父、虢宄公、虢幽叔、虢德叔、師丞五代虢國君主的世系。[2]虢宄公主要活躍於周穆王、周共王時期，《師哉鼎銘文》記載了虢宄公師哉自周穆王時期就開始擔任周王朝的軍事將領，到周共王八年時被賜予太師的職務。他為其祖公上父鑄造師哉鼎，放置於其父虢季易父的宗廟中用於祭祀。[3][4]虢宄公死後，其子虢幽叔師望繼位。[2][5]
