生平
1973年7月加入中國共產黨，歷任呂梁報社編輯，中共山西省委黨校副處長、懷仁縣委副書記，省委黨校處長、黨校機關黨委副書記，山西省農業辦公室秘書處長[1]。1993年，擔任山西省民政廳副廳長。1999年，任中共晉中地委副書記；2000年，任中共晉中市委副書記、市長；2004年，任晉中市委書記；2006年，改任中共朔州市委書記[2]。
