生平
宮小生畢業於北京外國語學院。1979年，進入中華人民共和國外交部工作，先後在外交部西亞北非司、駐埃及大使館、國務院外事辦公室、常駐聯合國代表團任職，後任至外交部西亞北非司參贊。1995年，任國務院外事辦公室副司長，後升任司長。2000年，回任外交部西亞北非司參贊。2003年2月，出任中華人民共和國駐巴勒斯坦民族權力機構辦事處主任。2005年，任外交部大使。2006年9月，出任中華人民共和國駐約旦大使。2008年10月，出任中華人民共和國駐土耳其大使。[1]2014年，屆齡離任退休，退居二線，改任中國政府中東問題特使[2]。2019年8月，自特使一職離任[3]。
家庭
已婚，有一女。
