生平
1977年8月參加工作，1985年12月加入中國共產黨。武漢理工大學交通運輸規劃與管理專業畢業。
1989年4月起，歷任葛洲壩船閘局三號閘處副處長、二號閘處處長、黨政辦公室主任。1996年8月，任三峽工程航運現場指揮部副指揮長。1998年1月，任長江三峽通航管理局辦公室 主任。2000年4月，任長江三峽通航管理局副局長、黨委委員。2003年10月，任長江航務管理局副局長、黨委委員。2005年7月，任長江航道局局長、黨委委員。2006年12月，任長江航道局局長、黨委副書記。2009年1月，任長江航務管理局局長、黨委副書記。2016年5月，任長江航務管理局黨委書記、局長[1]。
2013年，當選第十二屆全國人民代表大會湖北地區代表[2]。
