唐納利在北愛爾蘭貝爾法斯特長大，2004年畢業於蘇格蘭皇家音樂學院。

職業生涯

唐納利於2005年在第四台的電視劇《青春糖伴（英語：Sugar Rush (British TV series)）》中首次登上銀幕，並因出演《古戰場傳奇》、《不列顛尼亞（英語：Britannia (TV series)）》、《墮落》而知名。她在HBO的《不朽者》（2021年）中飾演主角艾梅莉亞·楚，並在愛爾蘭電影《Insatiable》（2008年）中擔任主角。

2018年4月，她因在《擺渡人（英語：The Ferryman (play)）》中的演出而獲得勞倫斯·奧立佛獎最佳女主角（英語：Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress）^[1]。2019年，她在百老匯的同一角色獲得托尼獎最佳戲劇女主角（英語：Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play）提名。
