原為洺州，元太宗八年（1236年）置邢洺路，治所在永年縣（今河北省邯鄲市永年區東南）。轄境相當今河北省武安、邯鄲、永年、曲周、肥鄉、廣平、成安等縣市地。元憲宗二年（1252年）改名洺磁路。
