董思恭所著篇詠，被當時之人所推重。歷任右史、中書舍人，知考功舉事，因為參預泄露問目，配流放到嶺南而死。曾經和與許敬宗、楊思儉、顧胤、許圉師、上官儀、孟利貞、姚璹、竇德玄、郭瑜、元思敬等人編撰《瑤山玉彩》、《芳林要覽》。
