荊紫山位於河南省洛陽市新安縣北部56公里處，石井鄉境內。東西綿延約七十公里，海拔829米，山頂有玉皇閣，屬道教名山。山上多荊樹和紫花而得名。《山海經》中稱其為敖岸山，有傳荊紫山北麓產金，故又稱金子山。荊紫山景區是新安八景之一。 [1]
