神學家聖約翰修道院是一座希臘正教會的修道院，1088年興建於愛琴海上的拔摩島。1999年，聯合國教科文組織將其列為世界遺產[1]。它建在《啟示錄》的作者拔摩島的約翰看見異象的山洞——啟示錄洞，天主教和東正教都將那裡尊為聖地。
歷史
1088年，拜占庭皇帝阿歷克塞一世將帕特莫斯島贈給軍中司祭約翰·赫里斯托祖盧（soldier-priest John Christodoulos）。3年後，赫里斯托建成大型修道院。修道院外部戒備森嚴，因為面臨海盜和塞爾柱土耳其人的威脅[2]。
