瓦肯音樂節

瓦肯音樂節（英語：Wacken Open Air，簡稱WOA）是每年夏天在德國北部什列斯威-好斯敦瓦肯鎮（英語：Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein）舉行的重金屬戶外音樂節。2011年，有80,000人次參與，包括樂隊、工作人員等總共有超過86,000人參與這個音樂盛會。^[2] 它吸引來自全世界各地的各種金屬迷，例如黑金屬、死亡金屬、力量金屬、鞭擊金屬、哥德金屬、民謠金屬、金屬核、新金屬以及硬式搖滾等。

瓦肯音樂節在1990年首次舉行，當時只是德國當地樂隊的小型音樂節。1998年後，該音樂節變成了歐洲金屬樂一年一度的大型音樂節，也是世界上最重要的音樂節之一，包括來自歐洲、北美以及澳大利亞等國70多支樂隊參與。通常瓦肯音樂節在八月初舉辦，為期三天。2012年瓦肯音樂節的75,000張門票在11月29日就售罄一空，打破了原2009年所保持的記錄。^[3] 整個2012音樂節會有137支樂隊分別在7個不同的舞台表演。
