沿革
第一世戈教活佛洛絨繞吉是十一世達賴的「戈教堪布」（一般指隨侍達賴照料起居的高級僧官，其地位相當於堪布）。洛絨繞吉成為戈教活佛的起始。戈教活佛系統也因其曾任「戈教堪布」而得名。[1]
第四世戈教活佛戈教·洛絨繞吉雲登嘉措1992年經甘孜藏族自治州人民政府核批為第三世戈教活佛的轉世靈童，他也成為中華人民共和國成立以後第一位經人民政府核批的轉世活佛。[1][2][3][1]
