王权条约（德语：Krontraktat）在1700年11月16日签署，此前勃兰登堡选帝侯兼普鲁士公爵腓特烈三世承诺为即将到来的西班牙王位继承战争提供8,000人的兵力。利奥波德一世皇帝作为回报，皇帝承诺腓特烈未来可以加冕为“普鲁士国王”，而这将在神圣罗马帝国和整个欧洲得到承认。加冕典礼于1701年1月18日在柯尼斯堡举行。从1701年4月起，更名为“普鲁士王家特遣队”的部队在部署到了莱茵河下游。1702年4月，它在凯撒斯韦斯围城战中首次参加敌对行动。
