Ram press (food)

、調味料、化妆品等工业的重要产品，以及芳香療法（aromatherapy）的主要原料。精油通常使用水蒸气蒸馏。其他方法包含壓榨（英语：Ram press (food)）、溶劑提取、樹脂提取、冷壓。其使用於香水、化妝品、肥皂、家中清潔用品和加湿器等其他產品，亦可用於調整食物或飲料的氣味。

机械压榨在工业上一般是使用榨油机（英语：expeller pressing），但螺旋压力机、冲压榨油机（英语：ram press (food)）、ghani（印度传统，动物驱动杵臼）等也有使用。机械榨油启动成本低，在工业化程度低的发展中国家和小作坊中较常用，其中印度较常使用ghani。
