连恩·豪利特是该专辑唯一的作曲家；在当时的另外三名乐队成员中，只有Maxim真正为这张专辑做出了贡献，并在该专辑的最后一首歌中担任人声主唱。在专辑的封套说明中，SL2、卡尔·考克斯（Carl Cox）、莫比（Moby）、蒂姆·威斯特伍德（Tim Westwood）、轨道乐队（Orbital）和艾费克斯双胞胎（Aphex Twin）等20世纪90年代早期碎拍硬核乐坛的众多艺术家都受到了尊重并被点名提及。《Experience》在英国专辑排行榜上排名第12位，并在该国认证获得了白金唱片。该专辑在波兰也获得金唱片。
评论
英国杂志新音乐快递的克里斯·尼兹（Kris Needs）在当代评论中称，“超凡乐团的首张专辑是让后人了解1992年发生了什么事情的时间探测器，比任何半吊子的《40 Bowel-Erupting Rave Greats》合辑更能说明狂欢现象”。 有人会说：“如果只是为了说明是什么扼杀了它”。[11]

莫比认为《Experience》改变了他对舞曲专辑的看法；之前他认为“舞曲专辑总是会失败 [...] 因为它们无法在整张音乐作品中发挥作用。它们大多是单曲合集，这正是我不想做的”，并指出《Experience》“给我留下了深刻的印象，因为他们成功地创造了一种涵盖各种风格的完整聆听体验。这正是我对首张专辑的愿景”。[13]
