2008年MTV欧洲音乐大奖在2008年11月6日于英国利物浦回声体育馆（Echo Arena）举行。入围名单在2008年9月29日公布。典礼主持人为凯蒂·佩芮，30秒上火星负责专访场地，称为“Weird Things That Humans Do”，Perez Hilton则主持官方线上报导和当晚红地毯的新闻。[1] 本年度是欧洲出身的得奖者有东京饭店酷儿（德国）、Emre Aydın（土耳其）、理察·艾斯利与保罗·麦卡尼（英国）以及所有的地区得奖人。不过，当晚的最大赢家是小甜甜布兰妮与30秒上火星，分别拿下两项大奖。
