首期，又名头款、头期款、首付，是有价物件的按揭贷款第一笔付款。如房产、汽车等，为保证供款者的还款能力，以及配合物业所在地区的房地产政策，一般都有对首期占总贷款额的比例有所限制。普遍来说，首期占物业估价的10%，但在楼宇买卖活跃的地区，地方政府可能会把首期限制在30%，以减少因投机炒卖而增加的物业交易。
