长牙大天牛（学名：Macrodontia cervicornis 英文名：Sabertooth longhorn beetle），或称巨颚大天牛、长夹大天牛、巨颚天牛，其长度与泰坦大天牛（Titanus giganteus）相当，两者并列世界第二长的甲虫（仅次于长戟大兜虫），是世界上最大的甲虫之一。

形态
已发现的长牙大天牛标准长度平均大约17公分长[1]，其中其巨大的大颚占身长极大比例（雄性的平均长度不包括大颚仅有13公分－14公分，雌性则为10公分－11公分）。泰坦大天牛最大的长度16.7公分，有的雄性长戟大兜虫的长度最长约18.1公分，但它有很长的尖角，而长牙大天牛的体型和长戟大兜虫一样都小于泰坦大天牛[2]。
长牙大天牛的幼虫会钻入腐朽的木中，形成宽10公分的孔洞和1公尺长的通道。长牙大天牛的幼虫非常的大，可长达21公分，对于甲虫幼虫的颜色来说通常是白色，但是它们的幼虫是褐色的。《国家地理杂志》曾登过一张幼虫的照片[3]，误以为是泰坦大天牛（Titanus giganteus）的幼虫，后来证实可能是长牙大天牛的幼虫。
