诺顿克隆精灵

诺顿魅影系统（Norton Ghost），英文名Ghost为General Hardware Oriented System Transfer（通用硬体导向系统转移）的缩写^[1]，是一个硬碟备份程序，由Binary Research（英语：Binary Research）公司于1996年编写，后来在1998年6月24日被赛门铁克公司收购，副档名为gho；但赛门铁克于2003年9月23日收购PowerQuest公司，所以副档名改为v2i。该软体能够完整而快速地复制备份、还原整个硬碟或单一分割区。2013年4月30日，Norton Ghost停产，不再销售。^[2] 最新版本号是：15.0.1.36526。

2013年4月30日起，赛门铁克将停止销售诺顿克隆精灵，但是，电话、电子邮件和知识库仍继续提供支持服务，直至2014年6月30日。^[3]赛门铁克建议所有Ghost用户可以转移使用Symantec System Recovery（使用跟Ghost相同备份引擎的后续版本，可视为Ghost（Ghost 16）的后续版本）
