声调修饰符号

声调修饰符号是一个位于基本多文种平面的Unicode区块，收录了汉语、奇南特克诸语言（英语：Chinantecan languages）及某些非洲语言的声调转写标记^[3]。本区块并不包括国际音标内的声调符号，其编码于占位修饰符号区块内。

汉语言学界根据四角标圈法，使用⟨꜀◌ ꜁◌ ꜂◌ ꜃◌ ◌꜄ ◌꜅ ◌꜆ ◌꜇⟩8个符号来标注声调。声调符号⟨꜈ ꜉ ꜊ ꜋ ꜌⟩用来标注轻声，而它的反转形式⟨꜍ ꜎ ꜏ ꜐ ꜑⟩和⟨꜒ ꜓ ꜔ ꜕ ꜖⟩则用于标记变调；五度标记法使用的声调符号⟨˥ ˦ ˧ ˨ ˩⟩则置于占位修饰符号区块内。奥苏马辛奇南特克语（英语：Ozumacín Chinantec）使用⟨◌ꜗ ◌ꜘ ◌ꜙ ◌ꜚ⟩4个符号标注声调^[4]。国际音标使用⟨ꜛ ꜜ⟩分别标注音位升阶（英语：Upstep）及音位降阶，在国际音标字体仍不受支援前，存在使用⟨ꜝ ꜞ ꜟ⟩替代的情况^[5]。
