约翰·霍克斯(英语:John Hawkes),原名约翰·马文·佩金斯(John Marvin Perkins,1959年9月11日—)是美国电影和电视演员,其最具知名度的演出为于2010年上映的独立制片电影《冬天的骨头》,这一角色为他赢得了第83届奥斯卡金像奖提名。
早年生活和教育
霍克斯于1959年9月11日出生于美国明尼苏达州道格拉斯县的县治亚历山大[1],他的父亲彼得·约翰·“皮特”·佩金斯是一位农民,母亲则是帕翠茜娅·简妮,家中养有猪和牛,并种植小麦和玉米[2][3][4]。霍克斯形容自己在是“中西部的一个小型牧区城市社区”长大的[5]。在城里的杰弗逊高中(Jefferson High School)毕业后[2],他来到德克萨斯州的奥斯汀,并加入了一个乐队[4],他也是另外一个名叫“King Straggler”音乐小组的成员[4]。
职业生涯
约翰·霍克斯出演过的第一部电影是1985年的《未来杀手》(future-kill),使用的名字叫约翰·佩金斯[6],不过由于发现有另一位演员也叫这个名字,他从此将自己的艺名改为了约翰·霍克斯[7]。
霍克斯在电视剧《24》的第一季中扮演了一个出演两集的小角色,然后在HBO的首季《体育老师笑传》中出演达斯汀·保尔斯(Dustin Powers)一角,还出演了美国广播公司的电视剧《迷失》。
接下来他出演的电影还包括《爱情我你他》、《完美风暴》、《美国黑帮》、《割腕者的天堂》、《双面玛莎》和《林肯传》[8]。
