等至(巴利文与梵语:samāpatti)[1],音译三摩钵底、三摩拔提、三摩跋提,佛教术语,指远离昏沈、掉举后,能持心、心所,令其相续平等而转的境界[2],以其相续性并延及欲染,而区别于其他不称为等至的等持。四禅那与四无色定,合称八等至[3],禅那因其为现法乐住而从等至中单列而出。
概论
禅那、解脱、等持、等至一起合称为等引(samāhita)[4],等至涵盖了慈等至、五现见、八胜处、十遍处、四无色定、无想定、灭尽定等。进入禅那和等至的状态称为“正受”(samāpanna,音译三摩半那)[5]。玄应认为,等至是正要进入定境之中,进入定境后,称三摩半那[6]。
