时刻

在物理学和科学哲学中，时刻（英语：instant）指的是时间上的一个无穷小的间隔，其流逝是瞬时的。在日常用语中，时刻被定义为“一个点或非常短的时间间隔（space of time）”^[1]。

亚里斯多德在其《物理学》中阐述了时间的连续性及其无限可分性，并在其中阐述芝诺悖论。哲学家和数学家伯特兰·罗素也寻求定义瞬间的确切性质^[2]。

截至2020年10月，规范测量中认证的最小时间间隔约为397介秒（397 × 10^-21秒）^[3]。
