拜占庭-蒙古联盟

拜占庭-蒙古联盟^[2]是13世纪末14世纪初拜占庭帝国和蒙古帝国(以及伊儿汗国)间的同盟。金帐汗国经常和伊儿汗国彼此互相争战，而拜占庭则努力维持自身与金帐汗国和伊儿汗国的关系。双方经常交换礼物、进行军事合作、联姻。双方的联盟在14世纪中伊儿汗国分裂灭亡结束。

1265年蒙古帝国(以及后来的伊儿汗国)与拜占庭帝国数十年的国界^[1]

米海尔八世时期（1263–1282年）

拜占庭皇帝米海尔八世在重建拜占庭帝国后，与伊儿汗国缔结联盟。^[3]伊儿汗国的蒙古人对于基督宗教拥有高度的认可，其中有些蒙古人还是聂斯脱里派基督徒。
