蚬蝶科

蚬（xiǎn）蝶科（Metalmark，学名：Riodinidae）是蝴蝶凤蝶总科中的一科，下级分类中共有3个亚科，共有约1500个物种^[2]，占蝶类8%。分布于泛热带地区，主要分布在新热带界^[3]，占所有蚬蝶的93%^[4]。小至中型蝴蝶，比较其他类别的蝴蝶，各种蚬蝶之间在翅形、颜色和斑纹上的差异是最大^[5]。

语源

蚬蝶一名源于其物种在叶面上休息时，四翅呈半展开状，形如熟蚬，因而得名。而英文俗名“Metalmark”指金属斑点，源如一些物种的翅膀上，带有鲜艳夺目的金属色斑纹。

分布

蚬蝶多繁衍于热带地区。新热带界的分布最多，有1400馀种，包括了优蚬蝶亚科及蚬蝶亚科所有物种。旧大陆仅有110多种，并有60种集中于东南亚热带地区；少数广泛分布至埃塞俄比亚界及澳大拉西亚地区，分别有15和28种^[6]；温带地区如欧洲只有1种^[7]，这些物种皆属古蚬蝶亚科^[2]。

在中国记录了约26种蚬蝶；台湾2种^[8]；香港3种^[9]。

形态

成虫

蚬蝶触角细长，端部明显锤状。头小，复眼无毛。雄蝶前足退化，无爪，缩在胸下，没有步行能力；雌蝶前足正常。

翅膀呈暗褐或黄红色，有红色或黑色斑纹，有些种类具有眼纹，个别种类翅膀透明。前翅R脉5条，后三条在基部合并，A脉1条，基部分叉。后翅肩角加厚，肩脉发达，A脉2条，在M3脉处或2A脉处有尾状突出，有的尾突粗大，有的尾突细长。

幼期

蚬蝶的卵近圆球形，表面有小突起。幼虫体扁，表面密披细毛，与灰蝶科相似。有的种类与蚁共栖。蛹为缴蛹，短粗钝圆，生有短毛。

习性

蚬蝶成虫喜在阳光下活动，飞翔迅速，但飞翔即离不远。在叶面上休息时四翅半开，有的种类在叶上频频转身，不断改变方向。幼虫寄主为紫金牛科、禾本科如竹亚科植物。不少物种的幼虫会与蚂蚁共生^[10]。

外类群

蚬蝶曾被视作灰蝶的一类^[11]，通常视作一个亚科。然而，现今最新的形态学和分子系统发生学的研究数据指出蚬蝶科是灰蝶科的姐妹群，所以将其独立成科^[12]。蛱蝶科则是灰蝶-蚬蝶演化支的姐妹群^[13][14]。

内类群

蚬蝶大约在9600万年前的白垩纪中期时从灰蝶中分离出，并约在8100万年前繁衍出不同物种。蚬蝶是单系演化支，起源如新热带界的原始亚马逊雨林低地。

古蚬蝶亚科的白珂蚬蝶族中，两个新热带界单型物种白珂蚬蝶和粉蚬蝶是衍生出分布于旧大陆的古蚬蝶亚科物种的起源，并相信是在渐新世时横跨白令陆桥扩展到欧亚等地。蚬蝶中亦只有古蚬蝶亚科和白珂蚬蝶族的物种幼虫会以报春花科植物作寄主。
