大计是明清考核地方官制度，每三年举行一次。[1] 布政司、按察使由督府写出考语咨送吏部，吏部汇核具题请旨定夺。其他官员则由州、县、府、道、司逐级考察，造册申报督府，督府注考语后，缮写汇册送至吏部。大计亦依四格标准，分列等级，列一等者为卓异，知县以上引见，得旨后加一级回任候升。其不合格者劾以“六法”，与京官同；贪酷者，特参。
