台9线南回公路拓宽改善后续计画,一般被称为南回公路改善计画,简称南回改,实施路段为省道台9线台东县香兰-屏东县草埔段。

其道路建设完成至今,受制于地形地势之限制,道路有设计标准偏低、道路线型不佳、纵坡起伏大及路宽不足等限制,加上高路堤及高边坡多,易因灾害受损而交通中断,除人命财产损失外,对区域性经济发展及产业运输造成重大影响,故交通部公路总局因而提出此改善计画,并由辖下的西部滨海公路南区临时工程处第六工务段负责设计监工,著重东台湾策略发展轴地区的联外交通安全,优化在地运输服务品质,建设经费共227.49亿元新台币,建设期程2011年至2019年底[1][2]。
