伊斯梅尔·莫香特

伊斯梅尔·莫尔昌特（Ismail Merchant，1936年12月25日—2005年5月25日），出生于印度孟买，是一名在电影界享有盛名的监制兼导演。与导演詹姆士·艾佛利及编剧露丝·鲍尔·贾华拉合作无数次，更与艾佛利创办了墨臣·艾禾里电影制作公司（Merchant Ivory Productions）。该公司善于用唯美手法把描述二十世纪初英国的小说搬上银幕，更拿下了总共六座奥斯卡金像奖；三人亦因此被誉为“三头神”（有趣的是，他们没有一个是土生土长的英国人）。莫香特制作电影29部，其中包括《霍华德庄园》、《看得见风景的房间》、《告别有情天》等佳作，而2004年与中国合作的影片《异国情缘》成了莫香特的遗作。
