Lucium是历史上一度以为是化学元素的物质，是搜寻锝元素过程中发现的物质或者混合物，曾经被认为是一种新元素而被命名。1896年，化学家Prosper Barrière在独居石矿物中发现了一种新的物质，由于以为它是元素，因此给予名称Lucium，并且认为其为43号元素。[1][2]但后来被威廉·克鲁克斯证实，Lucium元素样本其实只是不纯的钇元素[3]，因此具有一些较特别的性质，导致发生错误的判断[4]。
