菜系,又稱料理,是指一種在食材、烹調技巧(英语:Listofcookingtechniques)及菜餚上的獨有烹饪方式,而它通常與一種獨有文化或一個特定地區互相聯繫。一般而言,地區性的食物準備(英语:Outline of food preparation)傳統、習俗與食材互相結合,方能創造屬於該地區獨有的菜餚。
