生平
陈最年少聪颖擅长文章，是永乐六年（1408年）的举人，七年（1409年）会试中副榜，授万州学正，以淡泊宁静自持，曾在学署墙壁写下：“门当雪积毡余暖，甑欲尘封水亦甘”。在当地严厉训诫、宽容熏陶，州内士大夫都尊敬他，因年老致仕，在家去世[1]。
