雍正二年（1724年），河南府之陕州升为陕州直隶州，河南府之灵宝县、阌乡县二县来属，领县二，雍正十二年（1734年），河南府之卢氏县来属，领县三[1]。1913年，全国废府州厅改县，改为陕县。
