弗朗索瓦·巴卢

弗朗索瓦·巴卢（法语：François Balloux）是伦敦大学学院遗传学研究所所长^[1]，也是伦敦大学学院计算生物学教授^[2]。

早年生活和教育

巴卢于1996年获得洛桑大学硕士学位，2000年获得博士学位。随后，他在爱丁堡大学完成博士后研究^[2]。

职业生涯

2002年至2007年，巴卢在剑桥大学担任助理教授，之后在伦敦帝国学院担任传染病流行病学副教授。2012年，巴卢成为伦敦大学学院的正教授^[2]。

研究工作

巴卢的研究涉及基因组学、流行病学、进化论和生态学。他的工作重点是重建人类和野生动物病原体的疾病爆发和流行^[3][4][5]，以及抗生素抗药性的出现^[6][7][8]。他也从事结核病和革兰氏阴性菌抗药性的出现和传播^{[9][10][11][12]}以及脊椎动物中人畜共通传染病病原体分布的研究^[13]。

巴卢在COVID-19大流行初期就参与了SARS-CoV-2基因样本资料集的整理工作^[14]。
