HR/HM是指将音乐类型的“硬式摇滚・重金属音乐”以缩写表现。这两个音乐类型，无论是在声响上，亦或是音乐史上的位置皆密切相关，难以明确界定。因此，经常会见到将两个类型综合成一个类型。
