西非书面字母(西非书面文字:ߒߞߏ,N'Ko),亦作西非书面文字、西非书面语言或音译作恩科字母,是一种用来记录西非曼德语族语言的字母,并且该语族的共同标准书面语也使用这种字母书写。N'Ko在所有的曼德语族语言中意为“我说”。

这种字母较为类似阿拉伯字母,尤在于其有一条在下方的基线并且同样右起横书。与阿拉伯字母不同的地方在于,其必须写出元音和辅音。西非书面字母的音调作为附标标注,这与阿拉伯语的元音标记类似。
索洛马纳·坎特为了回击世人认为非洲人是没有文化的人的理念而创建了西非书面字母,因为在那之前,非洲本地没有自己的书写系统。西非书面字母首先启用于几内亚的康康区,作为一种曼尼卡语字母而传播到西非其他说曼德语系的地方。西非通用字母日在4月14日,这天与1949年该字母被确立的日期有一定关系。[1]
字母的引入促进了西非的英语国家和法语国家的西非通用字母扫盲运动的兴起。西非通用字母对塑造几内亚的曼德文化特征起重要作用,并且它也在很大程度上加强了西非其他地区的曼德文化的存在感。[2]
在辅音字母上添加一些附标可以来使字母覆盖曼德语系中没有的发音,例如gb-dot中的/g/ ([哪个/哪些?]一个和/ɣ/不同的音)和f-dot的/v/.
西非书面字母使用附标 来表示声调和音长。和平元音一起,西非书面字母分四种音调:高调、低调、升调和降调;还有两个元音长度:长音和短音。但是没有附标来表示短音和降调。

随着计算机的普及与信息技术的发展,西非书面字母在电子计算机上的使用成为一个挑战。从二十世纪九十年代起,通过开发相关的软件和字体,使用西非书面字母的网页和支持它的字体渐渐增加。例如,开罗大学的巴巴•马码迪亚尼教授开发了一个名为“科玛•库达”的DOS文字处理软件。[3]然而它们之所以发展困难,是因为这些解决方案中普遍存在兼容性缺乏的固有阻碍。
Pango 1.18版和GNOME 2.20版有对N'ko文的原生显示支持。iOS和Microsoft Windows上都有支持该文字的软件,该文字亦有自己的电脑字体。[4]另外,该文字于2019年11月拥有了自己的维基百科。
UNESCO的主动巴别计划(英语:Initiative Babel)建议把西非书面文字编码到统一码中。2004年,国际标准组织的WG2工作小组经投票后核准通过了关于西非书面文字的建议,其由在叶密豪处工作的三名教授提出。2006年6月,西非书面文字添加到了统一码5.0中。

西非书面文字文学正在演变成书面语言,它被称为“康柏”或“晴明语言”,这种语言是基于几个曼德语系语言形成的标准语。讲曼德语言的人用“康柏”笔谈,这和东亚地区的文言文、欧洲的拉丁文比较相似。[5] 例如,在巴马曼语中,单词“名字”是tɔgɔ而在曼宁卡语中它是toh。在书面交流时,这个单词将用西非书面文字写成tô,但读时还是用各自的语言发音。
