橋本龍太郎，昭和十二年，生於東京府東京市澁谷區（今東京都澁谷區）。自由民主黨人。父龍伍爲議員。歷拜大藏大臣、通商產業大臣、運輸大臣、厚生大臣、副總理、內閣總理大臣。平成八年，就自由民主黨總裁之任，而身兼內閣總理大臣。十八年，病歿，年六十八。
