佛山市，地級市也。處粵南一隅，倚廣州、清遠、肇慶、雲浮、江門、中山六府。方三千七百九十八公里，口七百四十萬有餘。為華南魚米之鄉，明清時佛山鎮位列「四大名鎮」，今位列國家歷史文化名城也。
市治禪城區。轄區有五，為禪城、順德、南海、三水、高明。
