Echte salamanders (Salamandridae) zyn e familie van de salamanders (Caudata). Der zyn 103 sôortn in 20 geslachtn en drie ounderfamilies. Ze leevn in Nôord-Amerika, Europa, Afrika en Azië.

Sôortn uut de geslachtn Triturus, Ichthyosaura, Lissotriton, Notophthalmus en Taricha wordn ook wel woatersalamanders genoemd.
