ปลาดอกหมาก^[2] (อังกฤษ: Mojarra, Silver-biddy) เป็นสกุลของปลากระดูกแข็งสกุลหนึ่ง ในวงศ์ปลาดอกหมาก (Gerreidae) ใช้ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Gerres

มีลำตัวสั้นป้อม แบนข้าง แลดูคล้ายปลาแป้น ต่างกันตรงที่มีเกล็ดใหญ่ไม่หลุดง่าย ส่วนท้ายทอยไม่มีกระดูกแข็งโผล่ บางชนิดมีก้านครีบหลังอันแรก ๆ ยาวเป็นเส้น ด้านหลังสีนํ้าตาลอมเทา ด้านข้างและท้องสีเงิน มักมีจุดสีเข้มเป็นดอกดวงเรียงลงมาจากหลังหลายแนว อาศัยอยู่รวมกันเป็นฝูง^[2]

เป็นปลาที่กระจายพันธุ์ตามชายฝั่งหรือปากแม่น้ำของมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกและมหาสมุทรอินเดีย รวมถึงมหาสมุทรแอตแลนติก สามารถพบได้ในแหล่งน้ำกร่อยและน้ำจืด
