วงศ์ผักไผ่ หรือ Polygonaceae เป็นวงศ์ของพืชมีดอก ชื่อวงศ์ตั้งตามชื่อสกุล Polygonum ใช้เป็นครั้งแรกโดย Antoine Laurent de Jussieu เมื่อปี 1789 ใน Genera Plantarum.^[1] พืชในวงศ์นี้มีข้อบวมพอง มีสมาชิก 1200 สปีชีส์^[2]
