உயர் வரையறு தொலைக்காட்சி

உயர் வரையறு தொலைக்காட்சி (High-definition television அல்லது HDTV) என்பது வழமையான தொலைக்காட்சி முறைமைகளை (சீர் வரையறு தொலைக்காட்சி) விட பலமடங்கு பகுதிறன் கொண்ட நிகழ்படம் ஆகும். உயர் வரையறு தொலைக்காட்சியில் சீர் வரையறுத் தொலைக்காட்சியை விட பிக்செல்கள் பொதுவாக ஐந்து மடங்கு கூடுதலாக இருக்கும். முன்பு உயர்வரையறுத் தொலைக்காட்சியை ஒளிபரப்ப ஒப்புமை நுட்பங்கள் பயன்படுத்தினர்; தற்போது இதன் ஒளியை அமுக்கம் செய்தும், இலக்கமுறையிலும் பரப்புகின்றனர்.^[1][2][3]
