Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNHDD) is a union territory in western India. The population of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu is 585,764, and the union territory covers an area of 603 sq km. It was created through the merger of the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The Government of India announced plans to merge the territories in July 2019. The necessary law was passed in the Parliament of India in December 2019, and the territories merged on 26 January 2020.
