The Parent Trap is a 1961 Walt Disney Productions movie. It stars Hayley Mills, Maureen O'Hara, and Brian Keith. Mills plays identical twins trying to get their divorced parents together again. The movie was based on the book Lottie and Lisa (Das Doppelte Lottchen) by Erich Kästner. The movie was nominated for two Academy Awards. It was shown on television. The Parent Trap (movie from 1998) is about twin girls who didn't know they were sisters. Their parents were separated and each one lived with a twin. The girls came across in the campsite and then they knew they were sisters.
After meeting, the girls changed places to meet the mother or the father. They wanted to live together for ever.
